 Hi thanks for visiting. â€‹

I didn't pick up a paint brush until I retired at the age of 70 in 2016. So I am still a novice. with no formal art training.  I attend art class once a week and have been doing so since 2017 when I realised I needed to 'go back to school'.  I didn't think about selling or having a website but reactions amongst friend and family have been generally so favourable, I thought why not have a go. While I haven't set the world alight yet, it is never too late....until it is!

Here's what some purchasers and recipients of my work have said...

“I have so far bought two of David’s paintings, one a beach scene, and one an abstract piece, and they take pride of place in my home. Probably like most people, I know little about art, but probably like most people, I know what I like.” - John Szabanowicz - Photographer and Musician

"I recently attended a private viewing evening of the art group Art 'n' Soul that David belongs to, and I fell in love with, and bought, a piece of his work - a pointillism original of Canadian Landscape in the Fall. I absolutely adore it and it now brightens up  my front room, and indeed, my home." - Chris Moore - Architect

" From abstract to figurative via stylised, David Walsh is an artist that can apply himself to any style, and that is a rare gift" - Sophie Zie-Carreras - Portrait Artist and Tattooist www.sophiespetportraits.com

"There was something appealing about the way David painted Harry the Pug. One look at his work and I knew I had to have that little face hanging on my wall. I smile at it every day. Thank you David."
Lisa Curtis - Head of Operations IOW Donkey Sanctuary

"When I was invited to a local exhibition, I was immediately drawn towards a group of paintings of a certain style. I liked the way the artist applied the paint, the vibrant colours, the confident brush strokes and texture. I felt compelled to buy one of them that really talked to me. It is signed by David Walsh."
Your painting makes me feel happy, thank you David.
Danielle Brewster - Artist and Professional Picture Framer

"I know he's my stepdad and you might think I am biased, but I love David's work. Haydn my son and I have acquired several of his paintings since this hidden talent came to light a few years ago. I'm betting that they are going to be worth a lot of money in time to come!"
Kelly Unwin - David's stepdaughter - Charity Worker

"I have three of David’s paintings on my wall and all generate a great sense of warmth when I look at them. One of which is our ancestral home on the West Coast of Ireland which is sadly now a ruin but David has brought it back to its former glory with his wonderful use of colour and his exceptional style. One of many striking pieces by a clearly talented artist."

Benson Howlett McDowell BSc (Hons) - Cousin - Local Authority Finance

Please feel free to ping me an email david.walsh88@outlook.com to say what you think. While good comments are great, I might learn something from critical ones. You can't tell me to stick to my day job, it is actually too late for that!
